Kelly Zak
Kelly Zak is a film industry professional building her career towards directing, and is working on several shorts in the hopes of applying to upcoming fellowships. She has a variety of experience with an emphasis on coordinating.
Her most recent public credit was the Stunt Office Coordinator and the 2nd Unit Director’s Assistant on Netflix’s feature “We Have A Ghost”. She has continued to take on projects since, and will update her website accordingly once she has clearance to talk about her roles.
Kelly was a mentee of the Women in Film’s 2020 “Transitioning to Creative” Group. Her team on Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 went on to receive a Guild (706) nomination (5 films of 2017), and made the short list for the Oscars (7 films of 2017). Kelly was also nominated for a Screen Actor’s Guild Award in 2022 as part of the Outstanding Action Performance by a Stunt Ensemble in a Comedy or Drama Series for “The Falcon and Winter Solider”.
Kelly Zak is a college graduate with a Film Production B.F.A. from the University of Central Florida. She has since moved to LA and worked on a range of production types (films, tv, commercials, music videos, web series, and shorts) in a multitude of roles on both the creative and business side. In the remainder of her time she explores a variety of artistic mediums as you can find throughout this website. She loves to collaborate and work on new projects. Kelly is fluent in English and is learning Italian and Korean. Some of her favorite things are board games, circus arts, quantum physics, coffee, and Halloween.
